June 2016 to March 2020. 45,500km (approx) from Deadhorse, Alaska to Coyhaique, Chile. 16 countries. Read blog posts from entire route.

To save this map and download the route in its entirely or by sections: (1) Click ‘View Larger Map’ icon on right; a new window will open, (2) click the kebab menu and ‘Copy Map’ and give it a name; then ‘ok’. This will save it to your Google My Maps account, where you have full editing and export capability.

If you don’t need to edit it then after step 1, from the kebab menu you can can also choose ‘ Download KML’ and then choose from ‘entire map’ or its main sections. You can also export individual tracks.

For converting and joining files I recommend GPS Visualizer. Ride With GPS is very useful for editing files you have already joined, but for advanced features you’ll need a Basic or Premium account.

If our route information, GPS files or bikepacking info has been helpful to you, please donate! It helps us cover expenses such as web hosting, RWGPS subscriptions and all goes towards helping us bikepack, explore and document it.
