I was stoked to find out a couple of days ago that I’ve made it into the finalists in this year’s NZ Geographic Photographer of the Year competition. I’ve got entries in two categories, Landscape and Photo Story. The photo story is compiled from six shots that are included in this post about my Darran mountains climbing trip earlier in the year, and the landscape shot is an image I took in January this year while shooting photos for the Our Mountains book project I’m working on with author Paul Hersey.
The two shots below have been picked for NZ Geo’s People’s Choice component of the competition. If you like my work please take a moment to vote for them. There are some awesome images on display on the voting page and some tough competition![smugmug url=”http://highluxphoto.smugmug.com/hack/feed.mg?Type=gallery&Data=25155575_Wrt39p&format=rss200″ imagecount=”100″ start=”1″ num=”100″ thumbsize=”Th” link=”lightbox” captions=”false” sort=”false” window=”false” smugmug=”false” size=”XL”]
